The Klenow fragment of DNA polymerase catalyzes the transfer of dNMPs from dNTPs to the 3? -OH termini of DNA primer that is complementary to the template. The highly purified enzyme retains the 3? to 5? polymerase and the 3? to 5? exonuclease activity of the native enzyme but lacks the 5? to 3? exonuclease activity
